The Alien franchise has come a long way since its relatively small 1979 origin, and now it looks like a new stand-alone movie in the franchise is coming courtesy of Don’t Breathe filmmaker Fede Alvarez. According to sources, the new movie will not be connected to either the upcoming TV series or the previous movies in the Alien franchise, although Ridley Scott will be on board to produce the new movie, which is said to have been picked up by 20th Century Studios “purely off the strength of Fede’s pitch.”
Dass Scott es immer noch drauf hat, sieht man an Raised By Wolves und Blade Runner. Ich vertraue da also eher auf die geplante FX-Serie.
Nein, also es muss schon um die Xenomorphen gehen, sonst ist es wirklich kein Alien Film mehr. Aber entweder sie machen eben ne komplett neue Story die nichts mit Ripley und den Filmen zu tun hat, oder man siedelt es eben fernab davon an, lässt es aber quasi im selben Universum spielen. Ein Remake dürfte es somit nun wirklich nicht werden...denen sollte ja wirklich klar sein dass sie sich damit keinen Gefallen tun.
