    The sequel to last year’s epic monster mash, Godzilla vs. Kong, will begin filming later this year in Australia. Thanks to a report via Variety, it has now been revealed that Legendary Entertainment’s latest addition to the MonsterVerse, Godzilla vs. Kong 2, will return to film in Australia sometime in 2022, with production expected to set up cameras at Gold Coast as well as several other locations in Southeast Queensland state.

    Hatte ich jetzt gar nicht mehr auf dem Schirm, aber okay? Das überrascht mich jetzt doch. So hatte ich im Kopf, dass die Rechte irgendwie wieder in Japan bei Toho liegen. Aber noho.

    Es soll wohl weiter in die Hollow Earth gehen. Für irgendwen oder irgendwas ist noch niemand besetzt. Der Dreh beginnt aber schon dieses Jahr.

        Adam Wingard führt Regie. Dan Stevens mit dabei. Drehstart ist im Sommer diesen Jahres

          Hoffentlich kriegt der Film keine Überlänge. Die beiden Godzilla-Filme waren viel zu lang. Der ersten "Kong vs. Godzilla" hatte die richtige Laufzeit.

            Mir gefällt das neue Monsterverse wider erwarten ziemlich gut und hab mir vom letzten Soundtrack was zusammengebastelt. Mal schauen . . . nach dem Italien-Trip steht unser WLAN an der nächsten Stelle; dann ein neuer Rechner. Und wenn der da ist, kann ich auch mal wieder ein kleines Clipchen zaubern. Vielleicht . . .

            Ich bin noch etwas überrascht, dasss der Film auch kommt. Wenn es sich denn um einen Versus-Film handeln soll.

            Habe aber gelesen, dass es nicht unbedingt ein vs.-Film werden wird, sondern sich an "Son of Kong" anlehnen könnte. Toho hat andere Pläne mit Godzilla und die Leihrechte sind, meinem Infos nach, mit GvK ausgelaufen.

            Toho arbeitet gerade selber am "Shin Japan Heroes Universe" zu dem "Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0" und "Shin Godzilla" zählen. Denke, dass Toho nicht will, dass zwei Echsen auf der Leinwand laufen.

              Ist eh nur ne Frage der Zeit bis auch Donkey Kong in der Reihe erscheint, jetzt wo Nintendo auf Filme expandieren will. ;)

              Naja aber wenn der film wirklich so heißt wird Godzilla schon darin vorkommen. Würde ja sonst keinen Sinn machen :)

            Cast:
            Godzilla vs. Kong 2 is rounding out its cast with Stevens, Fala Chen (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Alex Ferns (Chernobyl), and Rachel House (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) joining the returning cast members: Rebecca Hall (The Night House), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), and Kaylee Hottle (Godzilla vs. Kong).

            Unfortunately, there is currently no word on Alexander Skarsgård’s involvement, but considering how busy he is nowadays, and with Stevens already as the male lead, it’s unlikely he’ll return; the same goes for Millie Bobby Brown.

              Bei dieser Art von Filmen waren die menschlichen Figuren doch eh immer uninteressant.

                Disney wollen auch eine Live-Actionserie zu King Kong haben. Vermutlich aufbauend auf Skull Island und somit ein Prequel.
