          Monster - The Ed Gein Story Folge 7-8 (Staffel/ Miniserie beendet)

          Einzig dass im Finale zu sehr hinausgezögert wurde fand ich diese auf wahren Begebenheiten stattfindende „Monster“ Miniserie erneut sehr schockierend, grausam aber auch tragisch zugleich. Gegen Ende hin gelang es den Machern sogar, so etwas wie Mitleid mit Ed Gein zu empfinden. Krass.
          Auch stark, welchen Einfluss sein Charakter auf Hitchcocks Psycho, Tobe Hoopers Texas Chainsaw Massacre und auf Das schweigen der Lämmer hatte, welches sogar mal mehr und mal weniger ausführlich aufgegriffen wurde.
          Aber auch Chapeau an Charlie Hunnam (Sons of anarchy), der hier beängstigend authentisch Ed Gein verkörpert - Top.

          Wer starke Nerven hat und eine bedrückende Seite eines gestörten, Kranken und von seiner Mutter unterdrückten Mörders sehen möchte, bekommt hier eine Gelegenheit, sein Wissen um einen der berüchtigsten Mörder der USA zu erweitern.
          Wir waren gleichzeitig schockiert und gebannt. Empfehlung!
